Self-confidence is a choice
When you think about your future, and your plans about how to become more successful, a lot of things start happening.
First of all, most likely you will get excited. Becoming the CEO of your life is a beautiful step. But something else might happen as well: you may start to doubt yourself.
Self-confidence is a choice
Because who are you? Will you be able to? Once I get more confidence, I will be able to. Then everything will be alright. And that’s the moment that you realise, to get to reaching your goals, you need self-confidence right now. You need to feel great about yourself right now. You need to feel as if you are already the successful person, the CEO, your version 10.0. You need that to reach the next level.
This realisation, may make you more insecure. As if you do not have enough confidence right now, how on earth will you ever reach that next level?
Choose personal leadership
It’s something that you feel; self-confidence. You are confident or you are not. Of course there are ways to boost your self confidence. As you can do with the power pose. Making yourself tall and broaden your body, embracing a confident posture, makes you feel more self-confident.
Which can be fleeting. And building on that self-confident feeling, may take a while. You can fast track this process. By choosing for personal leadership, taking ownership. Shift your thoughts of those of a victim to the thoughts of an owner.
Take ownership over your life
When you take ownership over your life, you take 100% responsibility for the life you live. You create from this state of mind. You will take action from a clear position, the state of mind of ownership. With this state of mind, you become the leader of your own life.
I am in control and I create these wanted circumstances in my life. In other words, you are the CEO of your life, you determine what happens.
Being a victim versus leadership
Everyone has thoughts of a victim, now and again. Something goes wrong and you’re thinking: why does this happen to me? You want something badly and it doesn’t work out: why does it just not work for me? It is not about ignoring those thoughts.
It’s about realising that you are thinking this, and making a conscious decision afterwards.
You get to choose.
You can choose to be the leader over your own life, as you always have a fundamental choice:
1) fixate yourself on this thought of a victim, believe this thought and identify yourself with it;
2) having doubts about these thoughts of a victim, and deciding to let it go. Choosing for different thoughts, which make you feel better.
Becoming aware and choosing
When you will become aware of your thoughts, then the next step is to make a conscious decision to let these thoughts, of a victim, go. Choose for what it is you want. Look ahead. Don’t look back. Choose whatever thoughts make you feel good and go on from having these leadership thoughts.
By making a conscious decisions every time, you will reach your goal sooner. You will maintain your focus and you will have more success. You will boost your self confidence with making these conscious decisions. By choosing who it is you want to be.
