How to win over procrastination. Many procrastinate, yet few fight this habit. With that losing the battle for our precious time. Not you, right?
We need to think about what we’re really procrastinating on because everyone is procrastinating on something in life. Consider thinking harder about the goals and dream you’re really procrastinating on before you run out of time.
Lack of direction, not like of time, is the problem. We all have twenty four hour days.
Ask yourself, David, what’s my direction. Am I focusing on the right things? Or am I delaying the inevitable? Remember, you may delay, but time will not.
Become aware of your habit of procrastinating
Habits are reversible, but to reverse the bad habits, we must realize them so we can stop practicing them. When it comes down to it, the habit of critical task avoidance is nothing more than a pattern of repetition – a pattern we must break.
It starts with awareness. Only once you’re aware, David, can you reverse the habit.
Set your fears aside
The primary driving force behind procrastination is the prioritization of short-term mood repair and emotion regulation over long-term achievement and wellbeing.
Your life is happening right now: Don’t let procrastination take over your life. Be brave and take risks. Your life is happening right now. Take the risk, jump, and stop procrastinating.
Forgive yourself for your past
Procrastination is not Laziness. It’s fear. If you have been procrastinating, you have been fearing something. You’re human. Call it by its right name and forgive yourself. And then move on.
