I sighed and looked around me, what a mess. It was total chaos on my desk, in my room – basically everywhere I could look. And there was so much I still needed to do. Stuff. Yet, all I wanted was to rest. To do something just for me, to rest.
Merely the thought of all that paperwork, and all the other chores brought tears to my eyes.
I am done.
It all started this morning. I wanted to get out of bed early, to have some time just to myself. But I overslept. Probably because I had been working till 1am last night. Two kids who did not want to wake up. Which somehow did not happen the day before when they were up at 5am, in the weekend!! A husband who ran off and left me to it. All in all it has not been my best day so far.
That is what my client told me. Every moment she would be in tears again. Just fed up with the load on her plate, too much to do and to little time. Recognisable <name>? For me until a few years back it surely was.
All you can think of is flipping through some tv channels and watching some silly old video’s that will make you feel good. You just want to go out, even though you might be too tired, but when was the last time you did that any way?
Time seems to fly by.
